What started in 2018 as Plant Basics—a brand helping people navigate the challenges of a vegan diet—soon became a community favourite. When the Plant Basics trademark was acquired in 2024, founders Laura and Leon Davis reimagined the brand, fuelled by their customers’ love for one product in particular: chia pudding. In September 2024, Good Puddings officially launched, offering bold, flavourful chia pudding mixes crafted from organic chia seeds and real fruit powders. What once was seen as a bland, functional food is now reinvented as something both nourishing and exciting.

Good Puddings isn’t just about flavour—it’s about values. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, the brand partners with Canterbury Tails, a not-for-profit animal sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehoming farmed animals. This partnership reflects a belief that food and compassion go hand in hand, and that business can be a force for good. Each chia mix is not only crafted with care but also aligned with a mission to create awareness and kindness for all living beings.
